If
you view Corro-Slick-Shield's surface through a microscope you
will note the surface is populated by small, extremely hard
spheres. The spheres change the WD Slider and Rail interface
from line-to-line contact to line-to-point contact. This
inhibits "Sticktion" and lowers friction associated with sliding
systems - producing a meaningful reduction in the dynamic
coefficient of friction. Another quality of the spheres is they
realign under rail deflection, the coating does not crack or
suffer micro-fractures. Corro-Slick-Shield increases rail
hardness, corrosion resistance, lowers friction and is
FDA/USDA/3 A Dairy compliant. |
